Maintenance done
HELA education director Ronny Angu says maintenance is being done in schools in the province. “We are carrying out maintenance and upgrading some facilities from elementary all the way to secondary schools.”

Suspect arrested
Water police who have been assisting National Capital District police in an operation over the long weekend, arrested a suspect next to the Kaugere Oval. A homemade stapler gun was found in the suspect’s possession when the unit stopped and searched him.

Community praised
National Capital District Met Supt Perou N’dranou has commended some residents of Morata settlement for initiating a volunteer community project aimed at reducing crime. Settlers living along the Magani Crescent connecting Morata and Gerehu have taken it on themselves to do clean-up work and vigilantly mobilising themselves to oppose all forms of criminal activities along the main road.
