Police to welcome minister
THE Royal Papua New Guinea Constabulary will welcome new Police Minister William Onglo during a parade at the Bomana Training College, Port Moresby on Friday. Onglo said his focus would be on improving the force, including seeing through the implementation of the golden handshake policy for retiring members of the constabulary.

K35mil for provincial roads
EAST New Britain Governor Nakikus Konga has secured K35 million in funding from the public investment programme (PIP) to fund all the existing national and provincial roads in the province. He said funding would be rolled out over a five-year period starting this year (2021-2025) in line with their provincial infrastructure development plan.

Forest programme launched
MORE than 100 students from Tapo Primary School, Bitapaka Integral Training and Study Centre in the Bitapaka local level government, Kokopo, East New Britain, witnessed the launching of the Children’s Forest Programme (CFP) last Thursday. Bitapaka Integral Training and Study Centre director Raphael Pilipo said: “It is vital that children were taught on the importance of trees.”
