Initiative approved
THE National Executive Council has approved an initiative taken by the Department of Agriculture and Livestock (DAL) to develop land for its staff homes and a fresh produce storage facility. Prime Minister James Marape said DAL had identified available undeveloped land under Portion 1468, Moitaka, Granville, Port Moresby which was occupied by DAL under a certificate authorising occupancy arrangement with the State.

Plans for SME expo
THERE will be a small-to-medium enterprise (SME) exhibition in Kokopo, East New Britain, at the end of the year. The expo will be hosted in Kokopo with local SMEs from the province invited to take part in the programme. Raluana local level government president Tiolam Wawaga said: “We want to host these so that we help our mothers and other SME locals expose their products as well as their talents as this is one way of opening markets for small SMEs.”

Deal approved
THE National Executive Council (NEC) recently approved the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) between Papua New Guinea and China Enterprises Association in PNG Inc (CEAPNG). Prime Minister James Marape said: “Cabinet noted that the State Solicitor has issued legal clearance and has advised that it is in order for the MoU to be signed.”
