Northbuild Brothers, who started their season in the Port Moresby Rugby League on a high note with two wins, are itching for their third victory this weekend.
Northbuild owner and former Brothers player Richard Sinamoi recently gave the team a much-needed boost, with new sets of jumpers and training t-shirts.
Brothers’ coach Solomon Hui said his players were ready to take on Dobo Warriors in Sunday’s main game at the National Football Stadium Oval 2.
He said they did not underestimate the Warriors as they had some experienced players and were the strongest team in the competition.
“However, we have two wins so far so that I believe that will motivate us to play extra hard as we take on the Warriors,” he said.
The Brothers’ Under-20 side will take on the Warriors U20 in the morning fixture at the NFS.
In the other feature, Tarangau will go up against Kone Storms in Saturday’s main game and hope to prove that they have not lost the form that made them premiers of PRL’s MRDC 9s tournament of late.
Both teams are equal on two points, as they have one win each from two games. Due to the unavailability of additional venues, there will not be any women’s games this weekend, PRL operation manager Meke Maino said. Today, West and Souths will battle in the first men’s A-grade match.
