BROTHERS made a come back in the second half to beat Tarangau 20-12 in the Port Moresby Rugby League premier men’s competition at the National Football Stadium last Saturday.
The win gave the brethren a foothold in the top eight on the points ladder with four matches remaining before the playoffs.
This was a great result as they build up form in the crucial stages of the season and maintain the bulk of their players from day one heading into the final rounds of the season.
Brothers are currently on fourth spot with Royals, Hohola Flies with Hawks ahead.
Defence, Kone Tigers and Souths  are also determined to sneak into the top four.
It was all one-way traffic in the second half for Brothers after trailing a 8-6 in the first half.
Brothers’ forwards Bob Gore and their back line powered by centre Solomon Bire had the better of Tarangau, who tried hard but to no avail.
Brothers scored three tries through Bire, fullback Tony Wemin and Stanley Kobil and which were all successfully converted by John Jack.
Tarangau’s only try was scored by five-eighth Simon John.
