Brothers down Souths, lead city comp

Sports

BROTHERS beat Souths 16-12 in round three of the Port Moresby Rugby League competition at the National Football Stadium on Saturday.
This is the second successive win for the Brothers.
The Brothers Under-20s also beat Souths 4-0 in the first lower grade fixture at the NFS.
Brothers four-point win was a solid start to their season and complemented the support to the club by former player Richard Sinamoi. The team is coached by former Port Moresby Vipers forward Solomon Hui.
Brothers lead with four points from two wins.
But it was not an easy win for Brothers. The error-strewn match did not reach any heights but the brethren’s gritty defence and consistency saw them bank a valuable two competition points at fulltime.
