BANK South Pacific (BSP) chief executive officer Robin Fleming yesterday confirmed the appointment of Marcellina Wolfgramm as the new country manager for BSP Tonga.
Wolfgramm is an experienced retail banking executive, joining BSP after a successful career with the Commonwealth Bank of Australia (CBA) for over 22 years.
A statement from the bank said Wolfgramm was a value-based leader and brings to BSP Tonga demonstrated experience in sales and service leadership, operational risk and behavioural change management, capability building and process engineering.
More recently in her role as a customer and staff executive at CBA, Wolfgramm successfully delivered a range of initiatives to support the digital transformation of the branch network – to meet the self-service and digital needs of customers.
She is a graduate of the University of Technology, Sydney, where she obtained a bachelor of business and master of business Administration.
BSP is the Pacific’s leading financial services provider and is the largest private sector employer in the region, with almost 4,300 staff.
BSP takes great pride in the diversity of its people and is committed to building a strong and inclusive culture.
Wolfgramm’s appointment demonstrates BSP’s commitment to investing and recognising Pacific talent – in particular women in leadership.
She will commence in Tonga in January, taking over from Daniel Henson, who has successfully led the Tonga operation, since BSP acquired the business in 2015.
Fleming thanked Henson for his strong leadership and guidance and wished him the best in his future endeavours.
Henson will remain in Tonga as country manager until the end of January following a transition and handover to be completed with Wolfgramm which will include staff, customer and key stakeholder meetings.
