BSP backs championships with K5,000

BANK South Pacific (BSP) on Thursday backed the Papua New Guinea Squash and Racquets Federation (PNGSRF) with K5,000 to host next month’s PNG Open Squash Championships in Lae.
BSP, Swire Shipping and NKW Group are the gold sponsors of the tournament.
The championships will be hosted by Lae Squash & Racquets Association at the Lae Chinese Club from Nov 1-3.
Lae toptown branch manager Bevilon Homuo told The National that BSP was delighted to continue its gold sponsorship of K5,000 towards PNGSRF for the national open squash championships that will be stage in Lae in November.
“BSP is once again excited to support this year,” Homuo said.
“Communities are one of our core values in BSP. We pride in ourselves in supporting the community we operate in. Therefore, we are happy to be a gold sponsor of the championships.”
“We pride ourselves in being good corporate leaders business and team players while at the same time being competitive.
“In saying that, on behalf of BSP, we wish the organisers and the players all the best in the tournament,’ said Homuo.
Yvonne Suat, from Swire Shipping, said it was a great pleasure for the company to support communities in which they operate.
“It is a pleasure to support the tournament, especially the junior development programme,” Suat said.
“We are always happy to support such programmes and are looking forward to a long partnership.”
NKW Group’s Angie Tunia said the company was involved in junior golf development.
“It is part of our social responsibility to support junior development. We are more than happy to support junior squash.”
