BSP introduces new ATM banking facility

BANK South Pacific (BSP) customers will now be able to customise their personal identification number (PIN) using a new feature on the automatic teller machines (ATM) nationwide.
In a statement yesterday, BSP said in addition to existing ATM features, it had introduced the option for customers to change their current KunduCard and or SaveCard PIN numbers.
This has been effective since Monday.
The PIN change feature will allow customers, who may find the bank issued PIN too hard to memorise to  change it to a set of numbers that they can easily remember.
“Others may wish to change it for security reasons if they feel their current PIN number may have been compromised,” BSP’s head of channel management, Lew Kenah said.
He also advised that at this stage, the option to change PIN at BSP ATM
was only available to Kundu and SaveCard holders.
“There is no application form for an ATM PIN change.
“All that is required by the customer is their current PIN number and Kundu Card or Save Card.”
Customers are reminded that under the terms and conditions of their account, they must not share their card and/or PIN with others.
“When using the PIN change option, customers are reminded not to use a PIN number that could easily be identified by others, for instance using 1, 2, 3, 4 or a birth date.”
BSP e-banking and ATM officers will be on hand to help promote the features and benefits of ATM PIN change as well as assist and inform customers and answer questions related to the use of this service.
BSP advised that further information regarding the pin change was available at its branches.
