THE Bank South Pacific has invested about K26 million in a joint venture in Cambodia, chief executive Robin Fleming says.
He described the progress so far as positive.
BSP has a 50 per cent equity in the joint-venture with RMA Cambodia. There will be further expansion once it has become fully established in Cambodia.
“Our participation in the joint-venture has been completed. We have contributed our shareholder funds plus the shareholder loans of close to $US8 million (K24.69 million),” Fleming said.
“We are now 50 per cent owners of RMA Finance in Cambodia and it is soon to be rebranded BSP Finance. We are just waiting on the National Bank of Cambodia to approve the change in name.
