BSP progressing well since merger

A LOT of changes has happened since the merger of PNG Banking Corporation (PNGBC) and Bank South Pacific (BSP) Financial Group Ltd 20 years ago, chief executive officer Robin Fleming says.
Fleming said during the BSP 2022 leadership forum in Port Moresby last Saturday that, from 300 staff to about 3,000 PNG staff today, was a great achievement.
Fleming also thanked the staff, including the customers, who stood by BSP over the years.

BSP also acknowledged four staff who received the 40-years’ service award, and 23 staff who received the 25-year service awards.
One of the 25-years’ service awardees Cathy Kee, who is currently team leader tellers’/customer services Kundiawa branch said, working with BSP had enabled her to pay her children’s school fees.

She joined the bank in September 1996 as a part-time customer service officer and made her way up.
“I would like to thank BSP for this opportunity, and also bringing me this far,” Kee said.
“BSP is a very good organisation and I love to work with BSP.
“BSP has put food on the table for me and my family, it has sent my children to school.
“I have my two eldest daughters who have graduated from the University of Papua New Guinea (UPNG), and this year, I have two sons, one will be graduating from the UPNG School of Law and the other will be graduating from the School of Medicine and Health Sciences.
“And my other daughter will be graduating from Chimbu Safelight University in Communications.
“BSP has paid me well so I was able to manage the house and the bills.”
