BANK South Pacific says some of its staff had to sleep outside or under their homes to keep the banking services going in earthquake-affected areas of the highlands region.
Bank South Pacific chief executive Robin Fleming has praised the staff members who made personal sacrifices to keep the financial community served.

He told the FM100 talkback show on Friday that the bank had 12 branches operating in the affected areas.
“BSP is the largest non-mining private sector company in PNG. It is incumbent on us to do some donation recognising the people impacted, many of whom are customers,” he said.
“We donate K1 million to the relief fund. We trust the Government to support those who in affected areas. Our heart goes out to the families affected.
“Our staff in affected areas are going through great efforts to make sure banking services continue to be made available.”
