Bulolo MP congratulates Iguan

BULOLO MP Sam Basil Jr has congratulated Markham MP Koni Iguan on his re-election as Deputy Speaker.
“This is a bonus for the people of Morobe and the United Labour Party, a coalition partner in the Marape-led Government,” he said.
Basil said Iguan was an experienced politician who would provide stability and continuity in the government.
He added that Iguan was a close friend of his late father Sam Basil.
“He has been a father figure to me when he was with my dad in Pangu Pati and then at the ULP,” Basil said.
“When I put my hand up to represent the people of Bulolo, he was there to support me till I was declared to represent them in Parliament,” he said.
Iguan was re-elected unopposed yesterday in Parliament.
He held the same position in the 10th parliament.
