Businessman hailed

Letters

IT was very interesting to see our good friend Eke Lama, managing-director of Yumi Yet Properties, being frequently quoted on your daily as a successful businessman.
During my assignment to PNG in 2007, as a manager of a hardware business, I happened to meet this well-built, energetic and ambitious person from Southern Highlands.
Lama was a polite and a courteous person, fair and firm as I recall.
He is very a simple and open person.
Lama admitted that he required help and trust from a manager like me for him to fulfil his dream of building accommodation for average Papua New Guinea citizens in Port Moresby.
As he advised: “Do what you know is 100 per cent right.”
I am very pleased to see his success.
I wish that there were many more Eke Lamas in Papua New Guinea.
