A LOCAL businessman has invested nearly K4 million to help develop small-medium businesses in Chimbu.
The launching of the Simbu Small-Medium Enterprises Foundation policy and K3.8 million annual budget was done recently by foundation managing director Peter Siune.
The organisation, he said, consisted of coordinators from all districts in the province, 20 local level governments and more than 300 ward recorders.
Siune said they completed all the necessary requirements and processes to establish the foundation.
He said he was not new to such services in the province.
“Some of my input for development in the province was the Simbu Farmers Marketing Limited and Chimbu Teachers’ College,” Siune said. “The foundation is a new development platform for small and medium enterprises in the province to voice their views and issues to the relevant agencies and seek capital funding.”
Siune said the foundation was developed to create a path way for the economic sectors in the province.
