Busu students to put on a show for Lae audience

Busu Secondary students in Lae will be showing their talents through an exhibition about what they were taught in class this week.
Principal George Noble said it would be the first time for such exhibition.
“Students will apply what they were taught in class. They will expose their skills and talents by showcasing what they have learnt and will do to help their society and community, after leaving school,” he said.
Noble said there would be different zones of exhibition in science and technology; it will involve biology, chemistry and physics, agriculture, tourism and hospitality, arts and culture and entertainment.
“Arts and culture will be showcased by social science students to promote our culture, which is dying out. Entertainment will be music and religion.
‘Gateway to heaven’ theatre performance by students highlighting factors causing social issues in communities around Lae city and to encourage young people to abstain from from them,” Noble said.
He said some of the highlights would be fruits and vegetable fashion parade, snake man, habitat displaying new crocodile breeding ground within campus, fishpond, goat and poultry, application of physics in form of magic and barber shop.
Noble said the exhibition would be used by the school to raise funds.
