Butibam Clinic service slow

Letters

I BELIEVE this letter represents the views of the silent majority who go to Butibam Clinic, and patients who went to the clinic on Monday about the slow service.
The clinic was opened at 9am and about 30 minutes was taken for an amazing speech, which was not so important.
For the record, patients come for medication, not for speeches.
They should know well to be ready and open by 8am on government time.
At around 10:20am, it was announced that the doctors and nurses had left (who knows where).
Patients were told either to look for help somewhere or keep waiting for who knows how long.
We waited for another hour or two wondering why our service providers deserted us, why they had gone and where they had gone to on a working day.
When they resumed after couple of hours, they had the main entrance locked so they attended only to patients that were already inside.
I arrived at the clinic at 7:40am and was served at 2.20pm after seven hours of waiting.
I was told that my wait was better than those that came after me.
I felt sorry for the ill babies and elderly patients.
Two patients fainted on the spot.
Leaving work for two hours and causing patients to wait is unacceptable from such professionals.
The understanding that people should comply with a clinic’s convenience is not always in the best interests of ill people.
Clinics are there to serve people.
Please do so.
This slow service is peculiar to Butibam Clinic and is a chronic issue.
It needs to be checked and changed for the better.
I’m sure all doctors and nurses swore an oath of service so please, keep them.
