Butterflies shut out Royals

 KPM Butterflies kept their semi finals hopes alive with 10-8 win over Black Swans Royals in the Port Moresby Rugby League premier competition on Saturday.

Butterflies were first to visit their opposition’s try-line with lock Moses William barging his way into touch. Five-eighth Billy Johnson’s slotted in the two points for a 6-0 lead.

The Royals, utilizing their forwards paid off with second rower Wemin Tenge crossing over the line. The conversion attempt was unsuccessful and trailed 6-4.

Butterflies’ flanker John Bonny’s four pointer increased the score line to 10-4. 

Royals then replied with their final try of the match through full back Valentine Uro to trail 10-8.

In the other matches Kone Storms and Paga Panthers  drew 14-14, Hohola Flies upset Bishop Brothers Engineering Hawks 5-4.
