FORMER Telefomin MP Peter Iwei (pictured) says the people must be involved more in development as their contribution to national building.

“Development is everyone’s business and people should not think it is only for the government or policy makers,” he said.

“We all contribute to development in one way or another in the different things we do daily.

“We are a developing nation and there are so many areas to address, which the government is doing.

“Other countries have invested in their people through education resulting in more participation in nation-building and solidifying their statehood.

“Papua New Guinea should follow that to see changes in the next decade.”
