Call for youths to make right choices

Letters

THE excitement stage in life is usually between the ages of 11 and 25.
Many young people want to experiment with alcohol, sex, and even smoke to the extent of consuming marijuana as well.
Let us not forget that we only have one life to live.
It saddens me to see a lot of young people who were once straight A students roaming the streets.
All because of their wrong choices.
Young girls are getting pregnant without being prepared to look after their kids.
Many mental health problems are rising.
If you are a young person reading this, consider the fact that you only have one life to live.
You either live that life to the fullest or you play around with it.
Never forget that the future is not created by what you do tomorrow but what you do today.
Your choices today will determine whether you will succeed tomorrow or not.
There is no other way around.
Many times, we choose to live secret lives.
We hide from our parents and teachers while doing mischiefs.
Never forget that it is not your parents’ future that you are playing up with but your own.
Wake up young people, and take life seriously.
Many dreams are dying inside our young people and many potentials are left unused.
All because children decide to make wrong decisions.
A hundred elderly people were asked on their death beds about their biggest regret in life.
Most of them said they did not regret the things they did but the things they did not do.
The time they wasted. They had talents but did not use them.
They had books they were planning to write but never wrote them.
Now that you are still breathing, will you waste that greatness in you or make use of your time?
Hiding from parents or teachers and doing the wrong thing will do nothing but ruin our own future.
