Call made for public toilets

Letters

LAE accommodates for the provincial and city administration, business operations, entertainment and most importantly is the Momase regional hub.
But the sad scenario to this date is the that there is no public toilet facilities.
Responsible authorities in charge of this services are yet to construct permanent ablution blocks for the general public to use.
The city authority should have the facility assembled and impose user pay policy system.
We are into the digital world and such important services should be provided for the public’s benefit to promote health and hygiene.
Lae is no longer in resemblance to the status of 1970s or 1980s.
It is a modernised city. If toilet facilities are erected, it would raise the city’s standards and generate revenue for the city authority.
