Call to farewell national teams

Letters

THE PNG Kumuls and Orchids who flew out of country to Australia to take part in World Cup Nines saw no government representative bidding farewell to them.
This is insane.
How come the prime minister and sports minister were absent in wishing them good luck on behalf of the country?
This goes to shows that this government is all over the place.
If Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison can fly to Fiji to watch Australia versus Fiji a week ago, where is our Prime Minister James Marape?
As a rugby league mad nation, our government hierarchy has shown a lack of support, especially during their departure.
We would like to commend the previous prime minister Peter O’Neill who was always behind the wheels of sports in this country.
His term has shown great change in terms of infrastructure as enjoyed by many citizens despite criticisms.
This is a challenge to prime minister and sports minister, since both of you have failed miserably, learn from this mistake and do not repeat the it in the upcoming test matches in November and December.
