SCHOOL heads have been warned to be vigilant and prevent any form of cheating in the 2013 national Written Expression examination next Thursday.

Acting Education Secretary Luke Taita said 53,000 Grade 10 students would take part in 245 schools.

“All the provincial education advisers, examination supervisors, secondary schools standards officers, guidance officers, principals and head teachers of all provincial high and secondary schools must be more vigilant and security conscious of the confidentiality of the examination paper to avoid any form of cheating,” Taita said in a statement.

The investigation team commissioned by the Education Department to investigate the 2012 Grade 12 exams cheating allegations was in the highlands.

It is investigating 11 secondary schools alleged to have cheated – Kerowagi, Minj, Fr Peter Memorial, Mt Hagen, Togoba, Mongol,  Ialibu, Pangia, Kopen, Wabag and St. Paul’s Pausa.
