Capital Rugby looking to build off backing

CAPITAL Rugby Union’s vision to promote the sport and develop a positive sports culture was supported by Pacific Industries Limited who gave K56,000 on Friday at Bava Park, Port Moresby.
“Pacific Industries believes its support towards rugby is good because rugby promotes good values,” general manager Ashlon Chue said.
“I hope this sponsorship gives CRU and rugby publicity and gives corporate houses confidence to support the sport.
“We have a lot of talent and through the right structures and support, players can be developed.
“Having to play rugby when I was in school, it taught me a lot of values such as, hard work ethics, determination, team work and acceptable behaviors.”
CRU general manager Korry Chan said he hoped the sponsorship would build confidence for other corporate houses to come invest in the sport.
