Car sales expected to rise

ELA Motors is expecting an increase in sales of vehicles as a result of the reduction in duty on imports by the Government.
Chief executive officer Keiichiro Kuwabara said the car dealer welcomed the government policy.
“The business is so far in line with our expectation,” Kuwabara said.
He also said the company had not encountered any difficulty in importing vehicles, like some industries being impacted by the coronavirus pandemic.
But the company will be restricting its employees from travelling to countries impacted by the virus.
“We have not seen any direct impact from the virus in terms of vehicle supply so far,” he said.
“We have also not seen any changes in vehicle sales as a result of the threat of the virus.
“As a preventive measure, we would restrict staff travel.”

  • We are not interested in a story about car sales increasing..we are interested in a story about how much cheaper are they going to be with the new tariff reductions??

  • Reductions in tariff increasing in car sales There is always the 2 sides and a fact. GOD help PNG.

  • Reduction in tariff means cars selling price is at a reduced price. We are not interested in the increases in the quantity of cars imported but interested in what percent in the price reduction.
