A CATERING company is committed to providing the best food service to the PNG Defence Force, says a company official.
IPi chief executive officer Peter Long said more than 500 soldiers in Port Moresby were recently treated to a belated Christmas lunch this month.
“With the reinstatement of food services in January, we are highly committed to maintaining superior standards in our food services,” he said.
The event was held on Saturday at Murray Barracks and Taurama Barracks.
IPi Catering has a long business partnership with the PNGDF, with Long telling the soldiers that the lunch was a gesture of goodwill.
“We are very proud of our past seven-year partnership with the PNGDF.
“This event is our way to show good faith and appreciate you all for your dedicated service.
“Sadly, and unfortunately last year, during the Christmas period, all food services nationwide were temporarily suspended due to outstanding payments.”
He further reaffirmed iPi’s commitment to upholding an exceptional food service.
“We are honoured to host events that create a sense of unity and to allow soldiers to come together and celebrate as a unit,” Long said.
