Chairman slams sit-in protest

THE ALLEGED sit-in protest by a handful of Porgera gold mine landowners in Enga was led by an illegal and illegitimate landowners’ group, says Porgera Landowners’ Association chairman Tony Mark Ekepa.
He said the widely-publicised report of a sit-in protest was only “media grandstanding by Justice Foundation for Porgera and not by any recognised or legitimate landowner representative like the Porgera Landowners’ Association”.
