Chairman: Wamp Nga will pay dividends
The National – Wednesday, April 6, 2011
THE Wamp Nga group of companies will pay dividends to shareholders once their books are audited.
Board chairman Wai Rapa said the company made a profit last year but did not disclose the amount.
Rapa said the company was financially sound and that it was now focusing on money-making avenues.
He said they managed to sell 40 trucks to landowner company Trans Wonderland Transport.
Rapa said they were hoping to sell more big trucks to the companies operating in the liquefied natural gas project.
He made these comments when brushing aside talks that the group was financially crippled because it did not pay dividends to its shareholders.
Wamp Nga’s shareholders are Nebilyer, Anglimp and Hagen rural LLG councils.
Rapa said the company rose from humble beginnings and was now successful in its operations.
