THE Port Moresby Chamber of Commerce and Industry (POMCCI) has expressed sadness at the death of businessman Sir Theo Constantinou who passed away in Australia recently.
POMCCI stated in a release last week that Sir Theo passed away after a battle with cancer.
“We are all saddened to hear the news of the passing earlier this week in Australia after a battle with cancer,” POMCCI said.
“Up until his passing, he was the chairman of the Port Moresby General Hospital. His foundation also gave significant financial support to the hospital.
“We join with the rest of the business community in passing our condolences to his brother Sir Kostas and all the members of the Constantinou family for their loss.”
Former prime minister Peter O’Neill said Sir Theo was a good man who had helped a lot of people.
Buk bilong Pikinini also acknowledged and celebrate the great contribution Sir Theo made to the organisation and the children of PNG.
Buk bilong Pikinini was founded in 2007 with an aim to provide children with access to books and learning within an organised framework.
