NEWLY appointed Internal Revenue Commission commissioner-general Sam Koim says the commission will undergo several changes to enable greater and efficient revenue collection.
Koim said this during the IRC’s tax agent liaison group meeting with registered tax agents at the International Convention Centre yesterday.
“We have a complex tax regime and without the help of tax agents, it is difficult for us to collect taxes,” he said.
Koim said tax agents were professionals and this made it easier for the State to collect revenues.
He said the meeting with the tax agents was an opportunity for IRC to share ideas with the agents, who then gave them feedback on their challenges.
