CHILDREN at the Chesire Disability Services received K2,000 from Millennium Water Ltd last Friday.
Company managing director Achilles Peni said it was a privilege to support the Chesire Disability Services.
He said health was important and that privileged people like himself would like to extend their services to them.
“We like to give to people who cannot fend for themselves, especially the disabled. I’d like to give and feel satisfied,” Peni said.
Chesire Disability Services managing director Bernard Ayieko said they were not just about feeding the disabled but providing a service
to the less fortunate.
Ayieko presented a five-year strategic plan (2011-15) for Chesire Services to Peni.
The plan outlines the name change of the institution from Chesire Homes to Chesire Disability Services.
“A change of name will give us a change of focus, vision and values,” Ayieko said
Ayieko said under the new name they would like to transfer their services from home-based to the community in caring for the less fortunate.
He said that this would make it sustainable and cheaper at the community level.
The company donates five 19-litre bottles of its Owen Stanley water to disabled organisations weekly.
