SICK children admitted at the Mt Hagen Provincial Hospital ward six received special gifts and presents from a child care foundation during the Queen’s birthday holiday on June 10.
The Lords Mighty Kids Child Care Foundation Inc with the support from the Christian Apostolic Fellowship (CAF) children ministry distributed tissues, soaps and gift packs.
The foundation is an orphanage group but with the support from CAF children ministry they were able to reach out and help those in the children’s ward.
Foundation founder Jenny Alive Lyamb said it was fun for the children when they visited the children ward to share Gods Word and distribute presents to them.
She said funds were raised with the support from the Lagap Trading who gave K1000 to the children ministry and that helped them to visit the children ward.
“It was an opportunity also for the children to meet the nurses and doctors with parents and guidance at the ward,” she said.
“Our visit also involves prayer and fellowship which helped those who needed prayers and God in life to make it as their opportunity to ask him for his support and heal their sick.”
Lyamb said love is caring, sharing, helping, comforting and that was what God requires from us to apply to someone when he or she is in a bad situation.
