IT requires the collective effort of everyone to bring out the best in pupils to realise their full potential and become responsible citizens, according to a council president in Morobe.

Wain-Erap LLG president Charlie Foike made this remark at Gabmazung Primary School’s 50th anniversary in Wampar, Huon Gulf.

The highlight was the ‘hausman-meri bilasim skin’ concept with a student beauty contest.

Foike said  parents, teachers and government must find ways to shape students’attitude.

He said the Bilasim Skin Hausman-meri idea was to make children realise who they were and their purpose in life.

“Such ideas, if enhanced in schools, will involve students minimise school fights, cults, drugs, homebrews especially in Morobe schools.

“If we expect the province and country to become healthy, wealthy and wise, the basis of these elements depends on how well our children are groomed, nurtured and educated,” he said.
