Children’s bus fare

I was travelling to Gordon last week in a route 16 bus.
Next to me were students from Ted Diro Primary School.
The bus crew stood up and started collecting the fare of K2.
He demanded K2 from the students also. That is not right.
We give money to our children to buy lunch but it seems they cannot do that as most of it goes to paying the bus fare.
My question is, how much is a student supposed to pay – K2 or 80toea?
