Christmas festive activities unsafe

I FIND the Christmas festive activities organis ed by the National Capital District Commission at the 5-Mile Jack Pidik Park as unsafe after attending it for the first and last time.

Rather than brining joy to us it has brought sorrow to the family of a young innocent man who was stabbed by thugs  and had to die after trying to protect a helpless lady.

Drunkards, drug addicts and robbers seem to rule the park every night.

In my first night to attend I was shocked when a group of young boys aged 7 to 15 numbered about 20 pretended to cause a commotion and started chasing one another in groups and in the process almost stripped a girl naked before being dispatched by security.

Poor security should be blamed for this. NCDC reservist might as well try to leave their vehicles and start patrolling the area on foot to make their presence felt so to discourage such bad behaviors.

Otherwise, I discourage other city residents not to risk yourself attending to this unsafe activity.

Maybe the 2016 festive activities should be planned and held at Sir John Guise Stadium or the new PRL Stadium where proper security checks can be conducted and drunkards be restrained from entering with those who carry knives and screw drivers with intention to harm or steal from others.
