Church raised K16,900 during fundraising activities

THE Urban Wewak United church celebrated its first quarter of fundraising activities at Caltex Compound in Wewak, East Sepik last Sunday, raising K16,900.
The members of the Brown Wewak Memorial church of the United church also rolled out their first quarter fundraising activities, hosted at the church ground.
More than 50 people attended the occasion with students from the Kaindi Teachers’ College also presented their donation and an item for the audience.
Guest Margaret Vakuri, manager of Mi Bank in Wewak, was proud to be part of the occasion as she showed her support.
“Although I heard about the church, due to work commitments, I have not made it here, but I will come to have fellowship with the church members” she said.
Groups that participated in the fundraising drive were four regional groups, NGI group raising K3,200, Gulf/Western group K3,110, Central group K3,554.20, Milne Bay group K3,055.00, children’s ministry K366.30, youths K800, women’s fellowship K1,340, men’s Fellowship K1,053, mission station K950 and Forog United church K269.
