A NATIONAL Office for Child and Family Services for the National Capital District (NCD) is to be opened at City Hall.
Chief executive Simon Yanis told The National this week that NCD Governor Powes Parkop had allocated an office space.
“We have two offices in the nation’s capital — one at the Waigani industrial area and another at the Community, Religion and Youth Department office.
“The new office space at the City Hall will be the third,” he said.
“I am very grateful for this new office space and thank the Government for seeing the importance and separating children from youths by giving an office for children.”
Yanis said there were many cases involving children and family welfare and having an office at City Hall would be of help to city residents.
