Clothes donated to street children in Madang

KAGIN Uyan Foundation in Madang received a bale of clothes donated by City Mission on Wednesday.
Foundation chairman Jeffery Patal said the donation was given to street children and a few adults.
“A total of 24 persons got clothes – 17 street children and seven adults who did street vending around Madang town,” Patal said.
“We have 20 street children currently under the foundation’s care and the street venders are only under counselling/guidance  programme provided by the foundation,” he said.
Street children under the foundation are part of the organised clean-a-thon team.
They usually clean around Madang town’s main bus stop area and the town market in order to restore the once-known Beautiful Madang.
The foundation was formed in 2021 by Patal to help assist street children by providing basic needs such as food, water and shelter.
