National coach Eamon Murphy has been invited to attend the World Water Polo Conference in Budapest, Hungary, from April 26-28.
It is hoped that with his direction, the sport will grow in Papua New Guinea and the region as per the Fina and Oceania Swimming Association approach.
“The conference is a key milestone for the main objective of a review of water polo and aims to answer the question ‘how to make water polo better’,” Fina executive director Cornel Marculescu said.
“The event will look into all the possibilities to do a deep game, and game environment modernisation and creation of a competitive product for the sports market according to the realities of the 21st century.”
The programme will include international water polo experts, sports business experts and other relevant personalities from different fields linked to sport.
All cost are covered by Fina.
