Coca Cola introduces new island punch Bu flavour

COCA Cola Amatil (PNG) Ltd has expanded its Bu energy drink portfolio with the introduction of the Island Punch last Thursday.
Head of marketing Djamel Bencheikh said the island punch Bu flavour was designed for PNG with a smooth after taste – pleasant to the palate and giving the same Bu buzz in an exciting new fresh flavour.
“The colour is very bright because of the nature of the taste (which) is mysterious but also reflecting and reminds us of the taste of the fruits we have in PNG,” Bencheikh said.
CCA PNG Ltd general manager Philippe Mondada said whether it was to study late at night, playing sports or celebrate all night using it as a mixture, Bu had become a very popular drink when it came to boosting energy levels since it began in 2007.
He said Bu was the only brand in the CCA beverage portfolio competing in the energy category in the PNG market.
It is only available here and in the Solomon Islands.
“It is probably our most local product because of the portfolio and we are very proud of the brand- it is our brand – the PNG brand,” he said.
“Bu Island Punch is basically a refreshing option; it’s a fusion of different tropical fruit that has been chosen by PNG consumer panel.”
