THE Government must identify a product and provide support to extensively cultivate and process to a greater level.
Coffee or cocoa stands as ideal cash crops to achieve that purpose.
Malaysia, although a small country, is the world’s largest oil palm producer.
New Zealand is the world’s largest producer of dairy products.
Income earned from oil palm and dairy products by these countries make up more than 60 percent of their exports.
These products are sustainable or renewable in nature.
Malaysia and New Zealand will continue to export these products and benefit tremendously into the future.
The success of this came about because of their visionary leaders.
Papua New Guinea can become a leader in the export of coffee or cocoa in the world.
Earnings from these can easily surpass the total earned by minerals, oil, gas, fish and timber.
