Two extremes
The biggest “firefighter” intervened and doused the fires – to the immense relief of millions in Australia. Yes, the rain drenched the fire-ravaged areas so much that now they have to deal with floods and landslides.

From a reader: “In addition to the controversy about the home built around a power pole at Gerehu in Port Moresby, PNG Power should also look at the Kone Oval. There are two power poles in the middle of the kangkung pond. It is life-threatening, given the rugby field nearby, and children and spectators wading through the pond to reach the field.”
Love life
A man who recently moved into a rented apartment with his girlfriend messaged his boss asking for a pay rise to help meet the extra rent. His boss replied: “Love will keep you alive.” It must be true because the employee is still alive to this day.
Fast food
Be careful of the type of food you buy at the small fast-food canteens. Pictured is a bowl of flour exposed to flies outside one of the fast-food shops in Badili. We need to have health inspectors checking these premises regularly.
