Plastic pollution
Coca Cola says it will not ditch single-use plastic bottles because consumers want them. The firm’s head of sustainability Bea Perez told the British Broadcasting Corporation yesterday “customers like them because they reseal and are lightweight”. As one of the biggest producers of plastic waste, the firm has pledged to recycle as many plastic bottles as it uses by 2030. – BBC
