Traffic melee
There may be a mystery virus affecting the traffic lights at the two busiest intersections along Waigani Drive in Port Moresby. They go on and off. It becomes chaotic when everyone approaching from four directions try to claim “right of way” over the others. And no police to direct traffic too.
Mystery of closed door
For some reason, this door used by journalists after parliament sittings to access MPs, was closed yesterday. When we enquired, Speaker Job Pomat said he was not aware of the reason. Leader of Government Business Rainbo Paita too was also not aware of why it was closed. Acting Clerk to Parliament says it may be for security reasons. Well, the scribes will just have to catch the MPs at the car park.
Flowers
It is the time of the year when flower shops make a “killing”, with people sending flowers to the “special” people in their lives – some secretly, others with pomp and ceremony for the whole world to see.
