Scary thought
Scary when one analyses what Professor Glen Mola says about the number of Covid-19 cases reaching “the thousands” between September and December. Hopefully it plateaus soon.
Wrong timing
The spike in gold price globally has come at a wrong time for PNG. The Porgera mine remains closed because of the row over the special mining lease renewal, and Ok Tedi is suspending operations because of an outbreak of the Covid-19. Millions down the drain.
Bad timing
From a parent: It may be a bit hard for students to prepare for national examinations with the distractions and disruptions caused by the coronavirus. Exams should be deferred or cancelled altogether.
Dribs and drabs
It’s coming in dribs and drabs but another K21 million from the Government to pay off what it owes church-run health facilities is certainly welcomed at this time.
Staying safe
It is hard for those living in remote rural areas to access a medically-approved mask, let alone afford one. They will just have to come up with the next best option.
Food for thought
Distance yourself from whiners, gossipers, backbiters and harassers. There are too many around. To be associated with them is a risk to your emotional and spiritual health.
