Maximum publicity
Some MPs seek maximum publicity on new projects in their electorates and make it look like the funds came out of their own pockets. Politics.
Less fare
Colleague wondered why he was told to pay only K1 as the bus fare. The road transport authority announced recently that the new fare is K1.50. He then realised after a quick count that there were more than 15 passengers in the bus. Uh, that explains it.
Still waiting
The K200 million allocated in the 2020 budget to help small-medium enterprises is yet to see the light of day. The Government had promised a long time ago to pay it to the Bank South Pacific and the National Development Bank to be loaned out.
Low education
Never underestimate people with low education, sometimes they know more what kindness and sympathy is than those who claim educated and well respected.
Six feet under
It is a ritual for families in Sulawesi, Indonesia to dig up their dead relatives and put fresh clothes on them every August. They hug them and even share a cigarette.
Food for thought
