Tongue slip
PM James Marape may have inadvertently let slip a commercial secret during an Independence Day speech. He seemed to have warned Westpac and ANZ to shelve any plans to leave PNG because they may not be allowed back in.
Free fare
One of the bigger taxi companies in Port Moresby was offering free trips around the city on Independence Day. Fortunately not too many residents knew about it. The notice came late in the afternoon.
Rogue rangers
City Hall should warn its rangers to stop forcing people to hand over money. A colleague yesterday witnessed rangers demanding money from her relative who they had accused of chewing because his teeth were red. “We don’t want to take him to the station. We just want him to say sorry, so K5 or K10 or how much you can give to show that you’re sorry.” Really?
Wasted effort
When you stay up late at night to finish all your homework but the teacher next day never punishes your class mates who did not complete theirs.
Poor more kind
For some reason, a research found the poor people are more willing to help others than wealthy people.
