According to a reader, senior loan officers from a certain financial company have added an additional condition to the loan requirements for women applicants. It is of a personal nature involving a favor to be done. It is so wrong.
Good work
City Hall deserves a pat on the back for the excellent repair work done to the huge crater which usually appears on rainy days at Cobon Street in Gordon, Port Moresby. It seems to have completely disappeared. Thanks.
Still closed
But a few meters down the road, City Hall has not given us any update on when the New Zealand-funded K16 million Gordon market will be finally opened. The vendors in the meantime jostle each other for spots on the nearby roadside risking being run over by vehicles using the busy road.
Unattached officers
It seems the so-called “unattached” public servants who are being paid for doing nothing because they have not been officially assigned to any posts remain on the government payroll. No one seems to be doing anything about it in Waigani. Oh what a life to be “unattached”.
Shattering din
A one quiet neighbourhood at Eight-Mile is being subjected to what is becoming a regular weekend din at a home. Last weekend, the partying started on Friday evening and ended around Sunday noon. Scary.
