No show
Everyone waited for more than an hour yesterday at an event in Port Moresby for our good prime minister to arrive. He eventually did not turn up, and the programme had to start much later than the scheduled time.
Taxi message
There is a message printed across the back of taxis belonging to a company in our capital city that seems to imply that the business is not about profit or charity, but only for service. Drivers still charge the same fares as others however.
Faster service
Colleague spent less than 10 minutes waiting in the queue before he was called to take his second dose of the Covid-19 vaccine at Rita Flynn. It took him about two hours to get his first dose eight weeks ago.
No shelter

Hopefully someone will provide a big tent to offer shelter to people queuing outside Rita Flynn waiting to get the jab inside. Some chairs too will help. Thanks.
Wrong signal
Patrons at a restaurant started clapping when they saw the girl sitting with her boyfriend at a table started to cry. They thought he had just proposed to her. No, he had just told her that he was leaving her. Oops!
Thought for today
Life is the most difficult exam. Many people fail in it because they try to copy others, not realising that everyone has a different question paper.

“Concerns of the applicant’s privacy as the sole female detainee and her safety can be attended to with some effort and control from the duty officer. The duty officer can also ensure that male detainees do not walk past her cell.” – National Court judge Justice Vergil Narokobi when refusing bail for a female suspect.
