Welcome news
Great to see more people turning up to get the Covid-19 vaccine at hospitals and clinics in Port Moresby. Vaccination is our best protection when the Delta variant hits. That’s fact.
A side-effect
Women in Australia who have had the Pfizer vaccine are reporting an unexpected side effect – their breasts have grown bigger. According to the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists, this type of swelling has not been reported with the AstraZeneca vaccine. Goodness!
Free trips
One wonders why there are always more team officials than athletes travelling to international sports events such as the Commonwealth Games and Olympics. Free trip most probably.
No coverage
Talking of the Olympics, we hardly see any live coverage on our local television stations of the sports in which our athletes are taking part. Fees too high?
Cut off
Brisbane man Ryan Andrew King, 28, charged with cutting off the testicles of two men with their consent has pleaded guilty. He was arrested last year after police located a testicle in his freezer. What next.
Much older
NZ PM Jacinda Ardern turned 41 yesterday, but according to some of the children at a school she visited yesterday, she looks much older. The children guessed she is “62”.
Food for thought
Don’t write-off those who disagree, interrupt, embellish, upset or correct. There just might be something to learn there. That adversary, who you see as an enemy, might be a valuable antagonist, a worthy challenger or even a guru-guide.
